As realtors we get asked all the time – should we sell during the holidays or wait until the spring? Is it too much hassle, will there even be any buyers, and most importantly, will it interrupt my turkey time?
We have some fantastic news for you. Hold onto your hat, Santa … now IS a great time to sell, and you will have plenty of time for turkey.
Ask yourself these three important questions…
“If people are out looking at properties during the holiday rush, through the cold and snow, do you think they are serious buyers rather than tire kickers?”
“If everyone else has the same ‘wait until spring’ mindset, do you think that means less inventory and therefore less competition and potentially a higher selling price for you, right now?”
“Do you decorate your home for the holidays? We’re talking garland adorning your entryway and staircase, twinkle lights, bright beautiful poinsettias and the feel-good scent of fresh pine. Your home is probably looking its absolute best. Wouldn’t it be a great idea to showcase your home when it’s in this state of absolute merriment?”
If you answered YES to any of those questions, then you get it! So joyfully prepare your home for sale and jingle all the way … to SOLD!
